SHS Committee, DepED to develop Academic Vocabulary across 10 Levels of Basic Education

The SHS Committee has recently approved the project “Academic Vocabulary Across 10 Levels of Basic Education” which aims to serve as key words for vocabulary development in English and Filipino in all subject areas and for all grade levels in Basic Education. This project will be implemented in partnership with the Department of Education (DepED)-Region IV-A CALABARZON, led by Regional Director Dr. Paraluman R. Giron. more

RP ratifies Convention against Doping in Sport |
The Philippines ratified the International Convention against Doping in Sport through an Executive Agreement signed by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on 8 February 2010.
On 17 March 2010, the Philippines deposited with the UNESCO Director-General its instrument of ratification. In accordance with Article 37, the Convention entered into force with respect to the Philippines on the first day of the month following the expiration of a period of one month after the date of deposit of the instrument of ratification, on 1 May 2010. more
