UNESCO approves Lifelong Learning Center
for Southeast Asia based in RP

 

UNESCO PermDel Amb. Rora N. Tolentino, UNESCO Philippine NatCom SecGen Preciosa S. Soliven, and UNESCO Executive Board Member and DepEd Secretary Jesli Lapus with UNESCO DG Koichiro Matsuura, right after the approval of the establishment of the Southeast Asian Center for Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Development in the Philippines as a Category 2 Center under the auspices of UNESCO during the 35th General Conference in Paris last 14 October 2009.

   

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at its 35th session of the UNESCO General Conference in Paris, attended by 193 Member States, approved last October 14 the establishment of the Southeast Asian Center for Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Development (SEA-CLLSD) in the Philippines. more

     
   

UNESCO Board endorses RP’s Lifelong Learning Center

   

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at its 182nd Executive Board meeting moved for the approval by the General Conference of the Center for Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Development with Category 2 status to be established in the Philippines. This was reported by the Philippine delegation headed by Secretary of Education Jesli A. Lapus, Ambassadors Rora Navarro-Tolentino and Preciosa Soliven.more
